Loyola University Maryland

Green & Grey Alumni Speaker Series

History

The Green and Grey Society consists of seven men and seven women from the senior class who demonstrate academic excellence and committed service to Loyola University Maryland. In the spirit of Jesuit ideals, the Society serves as advisors to the University executives by identifying and communicating issues of significance present in our community. As engaged members of our community, the Society empowers students across the University to live the magis.

Through this vision, the Green and Grey Society was created to epitomize “Strong Truths Well Lived.” Through engagement in the campus and a vision to live out the Jesuit ideals, members have been visible examples of the value of a Loyola Jesuit education in and out of the classroom. Now, almost 30 years after the Society’s founding, we are pleased to create the Green & Grey Alumni Speaker Series.

As undergraduates, this group represented a cross-section of undergraduate communities and leadership paths at the University. As alumni, Green & Grey graduates have pursued a wide range of fields and have made indelible marks in their fields. From professors to artists, to politicians to musicians, business tycoons to leaders in medicine and law, these Loyola graduates have forged paths in virtually every arena. The seeds planted during those undergraduate years continue to flourish and nurture their influence on a diverse and changing world. As alumni of influence who embody our University motto, “Strong Truths Well Lived,” these graduates demonstrate the impact of a Loyola education.

Offered twice a year, in the fall and spring semester, the Green & Grey Alumni Speaker Series provides the Loyola with a distinctive opportunity to enrich our community by connecting students with alumni whose work, knowledge, passions, and life experiences inspire them to pursue the magis in their own personal and professional lives.
