Special Awards and Departmental Medals Ceremony
McManus Theatre- 11 a.m.
Academic regalia is required. Faculty and administrators will assemble in the College Center room W115 (rehearsal room) at 10 a.m. The procession will begin promptly at 10:50 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Reitz Arena- 1:30 p.m.
Faculty and administrators will assemble in the corridor outside the College Center Conference Rooms 113 and 114 no later than 12:45 p.m. The procession will begin promptly at 1:15 p.m. Please wear academic regalia and leave any valuables in your office. Saturday, May 18 - Commencement
1st Mariner Arena (201 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201)
11 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
Faculty and Administrators will enter at the Pass Gate on the Hopkins Place (east) side by 9:45 a.m. and assemble in rooms 107-111. Refreshments will be served, and the procession will begin promptly at 10:45 a.m. Please wear academic regalia and leave any valuables at home or in your campus office. If you're interested in shuttle service to the Arena, please note this on the RSVP form. A shuttle will depart from the Jenkins parking lot at 9 a.m. and will return immediately following the Commencement Ceremony. Free parking will be available in the Jenkins lot on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Important Note: The 1st Mariner Arena has increased all security measures. All parcels entering the building will be searched, including purses, lunch bags, backpacks, briefcases, camera bags, etcetera. All wrapped gifts or packages will be opened for inspection. Please cooperate with all requests for inspection. Visitors exiting the building will not be allowed re-entry. Any vehicles parked on the arena parking lot or in the arena garage are subject to a search.
Academic Apparel Rental Information
To rent academic apparel for use at one or more of the Commencement activities, please contact Kristen Fisher at email@example.com. Pricing information is below. The deadline to rent regalia is May 8. Your regalia will be available for pickup from the bookstore on Tuesday, May 14. Please make your check payable to the Loyola University Maryland Bookstore and bring your payment with you when you go to pick up your regalia. All rentals must be returned to the bookstore on Monday, May 20.
