Student Orientation to Service (S.O.S.)

Students volunteering

Student Orientation to Service (S.O.S.) is a unique service and educational immersion that allows students to explore the issues, concerns, and realities of people struggling with material poverty and/or homelessness in Baltimore. Participants have the opportunity to meet others who share their interests and get a head start on learning about the many wonderful service opportunities available in Baltimore for Loyola students.

Application Process

Please write your answers to the following questions to help us select this year’s S.O.S. group.

  1. What motivates you to apply for this program?
  2. Describe how community service is a part of your life.

You will be able to upload your responses in the spaces allotted on the registration form. Since this is a selective application process, we ask that you do not send a check with your registration. Shortly after the registration deadline, July 16, all S.O.S. applicants will be notified whether they have been accepted into the program, and you can send your payment at that time.
