How to subscribe to a Podcast Podcasting is an exciting way to automatically receive great content on your iPod or other MP3 player or so you can listen to it straight from your computer, or any other device that can subscribe to a Podcast. If you use iTunes to listen to music (and sync up your iPod), subscribing is a snap! Just click on the iTunes link that appears on the page. You'll notice that iTunes opens up automatically and the latest podcast episode will start to download. If you are using something else to listen to Podcasts (or sync up your MP3 player) then you'll probably use the RSS link. You can even subscribe to the Podcast right inside of Internet Explorer 7 for the PC. Just click the RSS link and the Podcast will be added to your feeds. You can find all of the RSS Feeds you subscribe to - including your Podcasts, by clicking on the little star in the upper left and then choosing the “Feeds” from the panel that displays. Other devices may require that you specify the whole URL of the podcast feed. You can find this by clicking on the RSS link and then looking in the address bar to find the URL of the podcast. RSS feeds are actually XML documents, so the URL will end in ".xml". You may need to enter this in manually for some devices (again, like Tivo), but once you are subscribed it will always be there with the latest episodes at your fingertips! If all of this sounds too confusing you can always just come back every Monday and hit the “Listen Now” button! Have fun and enjoy the podcast! |
