B4b. Non-Predictive Component Pattern
- Click on the Non-Predictive Component Pattern tab
- Click Add Issue
- Type desired information into the Issue box
- Name and date of a named, unnumbered supplement
- Volume and number with date of a numbered supplement
- Whatever is logical based on the piece-in-hand
- Be consistent if possible but it is not always possible
- Bracket information such as dates which are not on the piece;
example: [2003 Mar.]
- Always try to include the date of the main piece for an undated
supplement
- Expected date:
- For a current issue in hand use the date of receipt
- When entering issues ahead, try to guesstimate a reasonable expected
date based on the information in the CARL printout
- When really unsure about the expected date but claiming is wanted,
add some extra time to the claiming date
- Expected dates can always be adjusted
-
Click Add Issue
- Note: Many supplements will be recorded as they are received
