B5e. Subscription Pattern Example 5
Quarterly, with multiple month designation that does not start with
January
Maryland Nurse
A quarterly carrying single months or multiple months that begin with
Jan., Apr., July, and Oct. is not a problem. However, a quarterly carrying
multiple months which do not begin with Jan., Apr., July, or Oct. is a
problem as these alternatives are not currently allowed for in the chronological
designations available when setting up publication patterns. One is, therefore,
forced to use single months rather than reflecting what is on the piece
or is forced to hand update the chronology of each issue.
Maryland Nurse carries the chronological designations of: Feb., March,
April -- May, June, July -- Aug., Sept., Oct. -- Nov., Dec., Jan.
Example
(lacking voluming numbering) of multiple months generated by Voyager:
Since these months do not match those on the piece and it is easy to
forget to update them at check-in, this is probably not a good choice
of pattern for this title
Example
using a single month publication pattern:
While this pattern does not reflect the multiple months on the piece,
at least the beginning month matches
Single
month pattern manually updated
The first two issues have been manually updated to reflect the multiple
months which appear on the issues |
