Browsing Collection Upgraded

In early August all of the older items in the browsing collection housed on the two carousels near
the entrance were withdrawn. Several staff went on a buying trip to the Barnes & Noble store in
Towson and selected titles to partially replenish the racks. An effort was made to choose a wide
variety of current fiction and non-fiction to serve the casual reading needs of students, faculty,
and staff. Additional titles will be added in the course of the year.
The technical services
staff would certainly welcome any suggestions for supplementing this collection. So if you have
a specific book, author, genre, or subject in mind you are invited to contact the Acquisitions
Librarian, Joe Turkos, at jturkos@loyola.edu or jturkos@ndm.edu. Just keep in mind that the
titles must be available in paperback and must be of a size that will easily fit on the carousel
racks.
