ProQuest's Dissertations & Theses
(PQD&T) is the central resource for text of and information about
doctoral dissertations and master's theses. The full-text edition
of PQD&T includes the full text of most doctoral dissertations
and master's theses back to 1997, or earlier in some cases. Dissertations
published from 1980 forward generally include 350-word abstracts
written by the author, and master's theses published from 1988
forward include 150-word abstracts. Many non-full-text dissertations
allow the user to download approximately the first twenty pages.
Formerly, for researchers at LNDL, most of these titles were only
available through Interlibrary Loan or for purchase through University Microfilms International
(UMI). Through PQD&T, More than 600,000 dissertations and
theses are available in image PDF formats for immediate free download.
PQD&T is a highly valuable resource for graduate, faculty, and
other high-level researchers.
