User Satisfaction Survey

John McGinty, Library Director

Your opinion matters! In order to get a firm handle on how well the Loyola/Notre Dame Library serves the two college communities' information needs, we will be undertaking a comprehensive survey to measure student and faculty satisfaction with the quality of library services and resources during the upcoming spring semester. The Library will be utilizing a survey instrument known as LibQUAL+, developed by the Association of Research Libraries and used at over 400 academic libraries throughout the United States during the last five years. This survey will provide national norms in terms of satisfaction with collections, services, access and building space. LNDL will be teaming with the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities to compare responses and results across the country with peer institutions.

The survey will be web-based and accessible at your desktop, taking approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete the approximately 40 questions.

This will be an excellent opportunity for our primary user groups to respond to the quality of services the library staff is able to provide over a range of activities. It will also measure the satisfaction with print and online resources that are utilized for teaching and assignments.
