Research Survival Skills

You've looked over your syllabi for your classes and you realize that you have a lot of work to do this semester - maybe a presentation, a group project, and two or three research papers. Not only are you pressed for time, but you don't even know where to begin! Perhaps the library can help. The library is offering a series of research survival sessions, which can help with your research, save you time, effort, and frustration, and maybe even help you boost your grades. The roughly hour-and-a-half-long sessions will include:

How to Stop Googling and Find Happiness with the Really Good Stuff
General & Education Databases.

Become familiar with the "invisible web" and search methods which will help you locate exactly what you need and what faculty want. Get help with your research questions. (If your professor is not bringing your class to the library for instruction, you might want to sign up for one of these sessions.)

Sessions:
Tuesday, Sept. 29, 5:30pm
Wednesday, October 14, 6:00pm
Saturday, October 24, 12:00pm (combined with RefWorks)
