The Moderator/Advisor Role All clubs/organizations must have an advisor or supervisor who is a full-time faculty member or administrator. An advisor has several responsiblities: - Offer guidance to you and the members of your club/organization.
- Offer support to you and the members of your club/organization.
- Answer questions and be a reference source.
- Show interest in and excitement for your club/organization
- Attend meetings for your club/organization
- Offer constructive feedback and assist with decision-making.
Helpful hints to improve your relationship with your club's moderator/advisor: - Make sure you invite him/her to club/organization meetings.
- Meet with him/her on a regular basis.
- Show him/her all publicity for any events you are planning.
- Communicate your thoughts, hopes, fears, etc. to him/her and be open to accepting constructive feedback.
