Welcome to the Maryland Association for Counseling and Development (MACD). Here you will find information about our association, its divisions, up-coming events and links to useful resources.

The MACD is associated with the American Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association, Southern Region. This site is hosted by Loyola College in Maryland.

The MACD features an endorsed professional liability insurance program that is specifically designed to protect its members from the ever increasing risks of malpractice lawsuits. Take advantage of affordable coverage available through MACD.

Mission

To promote public confidence and trust in the counseling profession and to influence policies that affect professional counselors and the welfare of the diverse clients they serve. MACD supports professional counselors and counselors-in-training through a variety of professional development opportunities and support services.
