Datatel Scholarship

Overview:  At 38%, the percentage of applicants who go onto receive Datatel Scholarships is markedly high in comparison to other awards.  Provided by the Datatel Corporation, this scholarship is available to students attending a number of eligible colleges and universities, including Loyola College in Maryland.  Four scholarship opportunities are available; (1) the Scholars Foundation for outstanding students, (2) the Angelfire honoring soldiers who have served during combat, (3) The Returning Student for those who have returned to school after a five year or more absence, and (4) the Nancy Goodhue Lynch for those students majoring in an Information Technology related field.

Eligibility:  Eligibility for Datatel Scholarships is contingent upon enrollment in a ‘Datatel Client college or university.’  Applicants must demonstrate a desire to achieve goals following their education and must indicate how they feel a Datatel scholarship would impact the realization of these goals.  Undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

Value:  Datatel Scholarships are valued at $2,400.  Approximately 340 scholarships are awarded each year.

Application:  Applications may be obtained at the Datatel Scholarship Web site.  Students may download and complete the online application which is available on September 1 through January 31.

Deadline:  Online applications must be submitted to Datatel before the January 31 deadline.
