Only a few days left to make a 2012 tax-year-end gift to Loyola

December 17, 2012 | By Nick Alexopulos

There is still time to show your support for Loyola University Maryland and receive a tax deduction for calendar year 2012*. While the University will be closed from Monday, Dec. 24, through Tuesday, Jan. 1, members of the Loyola advancement staff will be available from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, to receive and process gifts and answer questions.

Ways to make your gift:

Online: Visit loyola.edu/give. Gifts may be submitted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, but will be dated based on when the donor’s credit card company authorizes the charge, so we recommend not waiting until the last minute.

Phone: Call 410-617-2296 between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, to make a gift by credit card.

Mail: Gifts made by cash or check must be postmarked by Dec. 31 to be receipted with a 2012 date. Please send your gifts to:

Loyola University Maryland
ATTN: Annual Giving
4501 N. Charles St.
Baltimore, Md. 21210

To make a gift of stock or to make a wire transfer to the University: Securities transferred to Loyola’s brokerage account by Dec. 31, 2012, will be receipted as a 2012 contribution. For more information on making a security transfer to Loyola, please contact Chris Vaughan at cvaughan@loyola.edu and ask that the stock and wire instructions be sent to you. You can also call 410-617-2296 and ask for instructions to be shared by phone.

Your support plays a critical role in Loyola’s ability to provide its students with the finest educational experience possible, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

*Always seek the advice of a professional tax consultant in determining the tax deductibility of gifts.
