Loyola University Maryland

With Parents Online Newsletter

Dear Parents,

As I look out my window I see the campus adorned with Christmas decorations, a clear sign that the fall semester is nearing its end. It has been a historic semester at Loyola. The September convocation celebrating our designation change to Loyola University Maryland offered us a chance to reflect back on all we achieved as Loyola College in Maryland, and to look forward with hope and anticipation to what we will become as Loyola University Maryland. As you read this newsletter, I hope you will see that in all of our growth and change, the role of students at the heart of this university never will change. In this issue, discover how students can prepare for "Life after Loyola" and seek out valuable real-world experience through the Internship Challenge. Take a moment to watch the videos—filmed by GreyComm Studios, our student-run TV station—of student leaders sharing their Loyola experiences. I am sure you will agree with me that Fall 2009 was yet another in a history of magnificent semesters at Loyola.

Make sure you also check out the calendar of events so you can stay informed of University-related programs and deadlines.

I wish you all the best as we approach the festive Christmas season.

Sincerely,

Susan Donovan, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Development
