Loyola’s national fellowships office has made a concerted effort in recent years to encourage students to learn more about the rigorous application process for Rhodes, Fulbright, and other fellowships much earlier in their academic careers—an initiative which is definitely beginning to pay off. Loyola students have secured Fulbright Fellowships in each of the past four years, and this year, Emma Cogan, ’12, and Anna Nguyen, ’12, have each won the prestigious awards supporting research and teaching in international destinations. Cogan will teach English in Malaysia; Nguyen will participate in cancer research in Switzerland. To learn more about Cogan’s award, click here. To learn more about Nguyen’s, click here.
