English Professor Ellis Interviewed by WYPR

Juniper Ellis, associate professor of English at Loyola, was interviewed about her book, Tattooing the World – Pacific Designs in Print & Skin, on WYPR’s Maryland Morning show on Monday, Jan. 5.

In the 13-minute segment, Ellis discusses the history of tattoos in various Pacific cultures and how their meaning has evolved through to contemporary culture.

Ellis, who earned her Ph.D. in English from Vanderbilt University, began teaching at Loyola in 1997. Her book was published by Columbia University Press in 2008.
