Loyola "Good Stuff Campaign" Collects Clothes, Food and Other Essentials for Those in Need

As Loyola College in Maryland’s graduating seniors prepare to leave their Charles Street campus, the College’s “Good Stuff Campaign” will ensure that the items they can’t take with them make their way to those in need.

Volunteers from the College’s Center for Community Service and Justice will be accepting donations of clothing, dishes, small appliances, school supplies and unopened, non-perishable food the students might otherwise throw away as they move out of their residence halls. From Wednesday, April 30 through Friday, May 16, collection areas will be strategically located in each of the residence halls. On Saturday, May 17, local agencies, including National Childrens’ Center and Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, will bring trucks to campus to accept donations from graduating seniors immediately after Commencement.

The collected items will be donated to area non-profit agencies including the St. Ambrose Center, CARES Food Pantry and Emergency Assistance Center, YANA Place, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Caroline Center, Baltimore Free Store, Healthcare for the Homeless, Beans & Bread Center, St. Peter’s Adult Learning Center and Book Thing of Baltimore.
