Loyolapalooza festival to feature
carnival-like rides, live music and great food

Loyola’s annual Loyolapalooza festival will take place on Sunday, April 26, from noon – 6 p.m. on the Quad on Loyola’s North Charles Street campus. The carnival-like festival will include rides and attractions such as sumo wrestling, an ultimate survivor obstacle course, a wrecking ball game, and the day’s featured ride – the Drop Zone.

The student band, A Cool Stick, who won Loyola’s battle of the bands, is opening for Augustana, followed by the headline act, Citizen Cope.

There will also be a Kiddie Land with a Froggy Flying Fling carnival game, a moonbounce, Ring a Bat game, and Tip the Fat Cat.

T-shirts from past Loyola events will be sold at a discount, along with this year's unique Loyolapalooza t-shirts. Vineyard Vines, which specializes in ties and some college apparel, will be handing out promotional items for free.

Concessions will include hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, drinks, cotton candy, popcorn and sno-cones. Food is free to all members of the Loyola community with a valid Loyola ID.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Tracy Petruzziello at tjpetruzziello@loyola.edu.
