The Master of Science combined with a Ph.D. was developed to address the needs of highly competent candidates who are seeking the opportunity to pursue the Ph.D. without having first obtained a master's degree in Pastoral Counseling. The combined M.S./Ph.D. accelerated program may be completed in five to six years by highly motivated candidates willing to commit to a full-time education and clinical training experience, including summers. Others may wish to take longer than five to six years to complete the full MS/PhD program.
Students interested in the combined program should familiarize themselves with both the Master of Science program and the Doctorate of Philosophy program. Students are able to complete the Master's program and complete all state licensure requirements as they begin Ph.D. course work.
