Loyola University Maryland

Continuing Education Programs

The pastoral counseling department offers continuing professional education opportunities for those seeking licensure along with opportunities for non-degree enrollment as special students. Each program provides a collegial environment where the focus is on the students. Students are expected to be authentic and open, engage in personalized learning, and develop a personal style of counseling. Faculty and supervisors strive to relate to students as they would have students relate to their clients. This allows faculty and students to create a mutually respectful community of learning. These programs align with the department’s therapeutic approach to addressing both psychological and spiritual needs with exactness and compassion.
