Dr. Wairimu Wanjau Mutai is a counselor educator and licensed professional counselor (OH), who has worked in the mental health field for 4 years in various capacities, mostly working with children and their families. Her teaching experience includes instructing the classes Counseling Children, Counseling Adolescents, Multicultural Counseling, Diagnosis, and Interviewing Skills, which she taught at various universities in N.E. Ohio. She has also worked extensively with online learning especially on the Blackboard portal, supporting instructors in their quest to move to web-assisted as well as online learning. She has also taught web-based courses. Her research interests include issues affecting international students (as well as other international issues), gate-keeping issues in the Counseling profession, and issues surrounding working with children, adolescents, and families as a whole, including marital and pre-marital therapy.
