The Pastoral Counseling Department has a strong tradition of research and outreach in areas that affect people in their daily lives. We believe that research informs our outreach opportunities and allows us to make a more meaningful impact. By creating a community of scholars, clinicians, researchers, and students who possess expertise in the integration of spirituality and religion with the social sciences, our research and outreach opportunities are poised to be responsive to the needs of the professional and academic communities that we serve. As such, we can proactively work to understand human development and meet human needs at their deepest levels.
