Tuition and Fees

Ph.D. Pastoral Counseling

The tuition for students enrolled in the Pastoral Counseling doctoral program is assessed by credit hour. During the academic year 2009-2010, the charge for a 900 level courses is assessed at $615.00 a credit hour. Courses at the 600, 700 and 800 level are assessed at $495.00 a credit hour. Courses are typically three credit hours. A dissertation fee of $1400.00 is assessed in addition to tuition for each semester of dissertation guidance. Students are typically enrolled in dissertation guidance for two semesters.

Master of Science, Master of Arts, Certificate of Advanced Study, Certificate in Spirituality and Trauma

The tuition for students enrolled in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Care master’s programs is assessed by the credit hour. During the Academic Year 2009-2020, this charge is $495 per credit hour. Courses are typically offered for three credit hours. Clinical fees are also assessed for four clinical courses at $1,128 per course.

Special Student (non-degree) Status

Loyola offers a non-degree special student status for those who wish to take courses toward meeting pre-licensure or other  professionally-oriented course requirements. Tuition for these options is assessed by credit hour at the Master’s program rate of $495 per hour in 2009-2010. Qualified individuals who elect to pursue these options are given the opportunity to take as many courses as they wish from the master’s program curriculum. Students pursuing courses in non-degree status are assessed a $25 registration fee each semester they are enrolled. Financial Aid is not available for non-degree seeking students.
