The National Political Science Honor Society

Omicron MuLoyola College of Maryland 1985

Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society.  Founded in 1920 at the University of Texas, the honor society accepts undergraduate and graduate students of political science.  Pi Sigma Alpha is active in over 440 college and university chapters across the country.  Loyola's own chapter was established in 1985.

Requirements for acceptance into Pi Sigma Alpha include:

  • You must have completed at least 10 hours of political science.
  • You must have taken at least 2 upper division political science courses.
  • You must have at least a 3.0 in political science.
  • You must be within the upper third of your class.
