Welcome to the Office of the President

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Loyola. While my relationship with Loyola stretches back quite a few years—I was a College Trustee for some time, and have long had close friends and colleagues here—it’s only since becoming President in 2005 that I have truly come to know and appreciate the extraordinary community we have here.

This is a remarkable place where students, faculty, alumni and friends hold fast to the ideals of academic excellence, cura personalis, service, justice and integrity that define us as a Jesuit institution of higher learning. Here, our community members build close ties with each other, but engage eagerly with the complex and rapidly changing world around us. We celebrate the beauty of our campuses, but are quick to explore the dynamic city that surrounds us. My time as President has been a great gift, and I look forward to continuing to discover Loyola’s character and potential as we pursue the great opportunities that lie ahead.

I am always interested in hearing the thoughts and perspectives of those with a connection to Loyola, as well as those of prospective students, parents and faculty, and I encourage you to direct your questions and insights to president@loyola.edu.
