The Practitioner Track in the M.S. Clinical degree program prepares student to begin employment in psychology under the supervision of a doctoral-trained and licensed psychologist. This course of study provides excellent preparation for careers as psychological associates, psychologists in the school setting, or as clinicians in the hospital setting. This practitioner-based program also prepares students for entry into Psy.D. programs, and serves as an ideal introduction to master's-level counselor licensure through the LCPC. The program encompasses 45 hours of course work and requires students to complete externship experiences. A comprehensive examination is also required. The degree may be pursued on either a full- or part-time basis. Admission is selective and requires students to present a strong academic background. Successful applicants typically have undergraduate grade point averages of 3.2 or higher and scores above 500 on each GRE subtest. Professional accomplishments, personal statements and references are also taken into consideration. M.S. Clinical: Practitioner Track Curriculum
