Polar BodyAge System Fitness Assessments are conducted using the Polar BodyAge System. This system evaluates biological age vs. chronological age, creating a starting point for members to begin their personalized training program. The computer analysis is an innovative & motivational tool that measures fitness levels in a way everyone can quickly understand. For example, if someone is 35 but their BodyAge is 45, the result is a powerful motivator that leads the person to work to improve his or her overall fitness level. BodyAge is calculated from the results of an assessment done by the Polar TriFIT health management software. The computer then produces a personalized report from which staff will customize your exercise and nutrition program for maximal results in the minimum amount of time. The Fitness Assessment program evaluates an individual's current level of fitness and assists in developing personalized exercise programs based on the following components: CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE
This portion of the assessment consists of a sub-maximal cycle test. This test is used to predict an individual's maximum oxygen consumption during exercise. This value is related to your cardiovascular level. The higher the level, the more activity you will be able to do. MUSCULAR STRENGTH
The muscular strength test utilizes a biceps strength test. Three measurements are taken to estimate your overall strength. - FLEXIBILITY
The flexibility component measures the range of motion in the body. This is accomplished by testing lower back and hamstring flexion in the trunk through a "sit and reach" test. - BODY COMPOSITION
Body composition is the ratio of lean tissue to adipose (fat) tissue. To determine an individual's body composition a three-site skinfold test is used.
Using the data from your assessments, the computer calculates your BodyAge. Based on your benchmark the computer then calculates an obtainable body age - or, in other words, the maximum amount of years one can decrease from their body age. That's when staff takes over to create your results specific personal fitness plan. The BodyAge analysis is an exclusive health assessment to provide participants with a measurement of their overall fitness level. The Polar BodyAge System is more than a fitness assessment. It is a whole new way of letting you know how healthy you can be and achieving optimal health and wellness! |
