Applications for summer and fall employment will be available starting Monday, March 10 and be accepted throughout the semester and summer. Summer Hire Requirements: Each student needs to work a minimum of 20 hours per week to be eligible for housing. Completion of area specific training as well as Mandatory Department Summer Employee Training, which includes EAP/Bloodborne. This training will be held tentatively on Saturday, May 3, 4-7pm at the FAC. CPR/AED/First Aid training will be required for designated positions only. Weekend work will be required on a rotating basis (depending on area-specific position). Special event work required. Available to start work on Saturday, May 3. Summer employment contract will run through September 1 (including Labor Day). Willing to work extra shifts during first week of classes until new staff members are trained and the work schedule normalizes. Vacations, or any other days off, must be requested, planned and approved by supervisor in advance. Vacations and/or time off will not be guaranteed May 5-June 1 and August 18-September 1. Housing will only be provided for the time period the student-employee is working with the department. Pay rate standards will be established for those student-employees requiring on-campus housing versus those student-employees living off campus (i.e. higher pay rate per position for those who will not need housing sponsorship). Any disciplinary issues with student-employees living on campus will result in immediate loss of housing privileges sponsored by the department and possible loss of employment.
Fall Hire Requirements: Mandatory August training attendance (August 25-29). Some positions require additional consecutive dates that same week. Work schedule will begin August 29, 2008. Willing to work extra shifts during first two weeks of classes until new staff members are trained and the work schedule normalizes. Completion of area specific training as well as EAP/Bloodborne. CPR/AED/First Aid training will be required for designated positions.
