LOYOLA & THE COMMUNITY

EVERGREEN
IS FOR
EVERYONE.

In keeping with our Jesuit tradition, we believe we have a responsibility to enrich the Baltimore community, just as the city and its people enrich our experiences. We strive to include Baltimore in our culture—from Greyhound sporting events to symposiums to performances. Loyola's Evergreen Campus is more than just a beautiful place with grassy quadrangles filled with students and architecturally significant, historic buildings. It is also a gathering place for the whole community—offering a wide variety of accessible resources. Like modern, well-equipped athletic facilities, a recently renovated library featuring a new auditorium, group study areas, seminar rooms, and a cyber café as well as the Alumni Memorial Chapel. Our 80 acres of wooded Maryland landscape, facilities, and buildings and are well worth a visit—whether you are a relative of a student, a local business owner, a Greyhound fan, or a curious neighbor.

GET RILED UP
AT RIDLEY.

The Loyola Greyhounds NCAA Division I athletics program has been busy filling up trophy cases with championships. It was obvious we needed more room for trophies and fans. Our new multisport facility—the Rev. Harold Ridley, S.J., Intercollegiate Athletic Complex—features a grandstand that includes a press box, food, beverage, and merchandising booths, Presidential and VIP Spectator boxes, and 6,000 seats for the Greyhound faithful and visitors. All that’s missing is you and your loudest cheers.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

ccsj

SERVING UP
SERVICE.

The Center for Community Service and Justice (CCSJ) at Loyola joins students and staff with community partners in the Baltimore area, promoting the values of learning through service, recognizing the strengths of the local community, and being an engaged neighbor. By offering programs with our community partners, Loyola provides experiential learning opportunities in the Jesuit tradition of service while, at the same time, providing valuable assistance to the community. In turn, the community teaches us about its most pressing needs and, perhaps more importantly, its greatest strengths. In the end, relationships grow and bonds form between Loyola students and local schoolchildren, professors and social service providers, and campus and community.
