The Burkshire Marriott:
The Burkshire Conference hotel is situated on the Towson University campus, just steps away from downtown Towson and convenient to Loyola College in Maryland, downtown Baltimore attractions, and the Inner Harbor. The Burkshire is an all-suite hotel, and conference participants may choose to stay in either a one- or two-bedroom suite. The conference rate for the one-bedroom suite is $129 for the one-bedroom suite and $159 for the two-bedroom option. Please let the hotel know that you are attending the conference when you make your reservations so that you will receive the conference rate.  

The deadline for registration to receive the conference reduced rate is September 17.  Because the rate available for conference participants is a significant reduction from the hotel’s standard rate, we highly advise making reservations as soon as possible.

Also please note that the two-bedroom suites are ideal for sharing, as each suite includes a separate bedroom with a door for privacy.  Because of the record number of participants in this year’s ICR we certainly recommend looking into room sharing. If you are interested in finding a suitemate, send an email to fbotkin@towson.edu. Please indicate in the subject line that you are looking for a suitemate. We will compile a list and email interested parties so that you can coordinate travel plans with one another.

You will receive in your registration packets a list of local dining and entertainment choices, as well as suggestions for dining and entertainment in other Baltimore neighborhoods. Sheraton Baltimore North:
Due to the large number of participants in the October conference and a limited number of rooms available at the Burkshire, we have added rooms at the nearby Towson Sheraton (called The Sheraton Baltimore North: http://www.sheratonbaltimorenorth. com/) to handle potential overflow from the Marriott. Those rooms will be available to conference participants at a rate of $149. You may call the Sheraton at 410.321.7400 to make reservations. Remember to state your affiliation with ICR.  The Sheraton is an easy 15 to 20-minute walk from the Burkshire Marriott, where much of the conference will be taking place. There is also a hotel shuttle that will be available by reservation.
