Apply to the M.Ed. Program from an AMI Off-Site Partner
Students applying for admission to Loyola’s Graduate Programs in Montessori Education in collaboration with a partner AMI institute must make separate application to both the AMI institute and to Loyola University Maryland. Applicants are encouraged to submit applications well before the priority dates, particularly if they are planning to apply for federal student loans.
Priority deadlines for the programs are as follows:

||Aug. 15 (May 1 for international students*)
*Please note the application deadlines for international students are priority deadlines. Applications can be submitted after these dates. The priority dates are given because it can take a prolonged period of time for transcript evaluations to be processed and results sent to Loyola.
On the application form, you will select one area of concentration (infant, primary, or elementary) and also indicate the location of the AMI training center where you will be enrolled.
Required Supplemental Materials
In addition to the application form, you must submit the following:
- Three (3) professional/academic letters of recommendation
- Resume or curriculum vitae
- Personal essay (found on the application form)
- Non-refundable $60 application fee
- Official transcripts from all postsecondary colleges or universities attended. This includes transcripts from institutions that have awarded the applicant a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree or an advanced certificate. This also includes transcripts from part-time study, and study abroad. Students who fail to submit a final degree posted transcript will not be permitted to register. Applicants who hold degrees outside of the United States must have a course by course evaluation and translation of their academic records done by an approved evaluation services agency before they can be considered for admission to a degree program. Loyola recommends World Education Services, Inc. (www.wes.org). The applicant is responsible for the cost of this process. - TOEFL score report. This report is required if English is not the applicant's native language or if the applicant has not completed a degree program taught in English. An official TOEFL score report cannot be more than two years old. Official scores must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Services. Loyola's institution code is 5370.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that a completed application and all supplemental materials are received by the application final deadlines. Supplemental materials, once received, become the property of Loyola University Maryland and cannot be returned.

Additional Application Information
Applicants seeking admission to the M.Ed. program in Montessori Education must have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an overall GPA of 3.00 or above for unconditional acceptance.
Individuals with GPA's between 2.75 and 3.00 may be considered for provisional admission status. Additional writing samples or test results may be requested before a final decision is made.
Applicants seeking admission to the CAS program in Montessori Education must have completed a M.Ed. degree from an accredited college or university. The Loyola admission committee will review the course content to determine final approval if the master's degree meets our requirements.
