PARKING OPTIONS

Directions to overflow parking at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen:

The parking lot is located at 5200 North Charles Street approximately three tenths of a mile south of Northern Parkway and one-half mile north of Cold Spring Lane.  Upon reaching the lot, park your car on one of the two lower tiers.  On Tuesday evening, Loyola’s shuttle service is available from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.  There are shuttles stopping at the Cathedral every 10 minutes.  Look for a white bus with green lettering and green flashing lights.  Upon arrival on our campus, your shuttle driver will provide you with helpful directions to reach McGuire Hall.  You should tell the driver that you are getting off at the Boulder Café stop – signs will direct you to McGuire Hall.  In addition to private vehicles, small buses and vans should use this parking option.

Arriving between 4 and 5 p.m.?  We recommend using the Butler/Hammerman Parking Lot

1) The best access is from Cold Spring Lane.  If you are proceeding west on Cold Spring Lane, make a right onto Millbrook.  If you are proceeding east on Cold Spring Lane, make a left onto Millbrook.  Once you reach the end of Millbrook, make a right into the Butler/Hammerman parking lot.  Drive up the little hill, park your vehicle and wait for the shuttle. Look for a white bus with green lettering.  A special shuttle will transport guests to and from the Andrew White Student Center between the hours of 5 - 10 p.m.  Your shuttle driver can provide you with helpful directions to reach McGuire Hall.

2) Traveling south on Charles street?  Make a left into Loyola’s main campus below the bridge just prior to reaching Cold Spring Lane.  After making this left, you will be traveling on Ennis Parallel.  At the end of the roadway, make a left onto Millbrook. Once you reach the end of Millbrook, make a right into the Butler/Hammerman parking lot.  Drive up the little hill, park your vehicle and wait for the shuttle. Look for a white bus with green lettering.  A special convocation shuttle will transport guests to and from the Andrew White Student Center between the hours of 5 - 10 p.m.  Your shuttle driver can provide you with helpful directions to reach McGuire Hall.

Hourly Parking - Jenkins Parking Lot on Bunn Drive

Limited hourly paid parking is available in the Jenkins Parking Lot located on Bunn Drive at Loyola’s main campus.  Bunn Drive is accessible from Cold Spring Lane approximately one-quarter of a mile east of Charles Street and one tenth of a mile west of Millbrook Road.  Upon arrival, the parking ambassador will direct you to the Andrew White Student Center. 

Street Parking is available on Cold Spring Lane after 6 p.m. and on Charles Street after 6:30 p.m.  Please observe the local parking signs and restrictions.

REACHING McGuire Hall Auditorium

The McGuire Hall Auditorium is located on the second floor of the Andrew White Student Center. Doors to McGuire Hall open promptly at 5 p.m. Feel free to ask anyone on campus for directions. Complimentary refreshments will be available outside of McGuire Hall for guests arriving early. Dr. Murrell’s book, Race, Culture, and Schooling: Identities of Achievement in Multicultural Urban Schools will be available for purchase before and immediately following the event. 

Handicap Accessible Transportation and Entrances for guests parking at the Cathedral:

Our handicap accessible bus will run on the Cathedral-Library route. All entrances are handicap accessible via the ramps.  Elevators to McGuire Hall, a second-floor entrance, are available near Boulder Café.
