Lynn E. Linde, Ed.D. Clinical Assistant Professor in Education, Education: Ed.D. Counseling, The George Washington University Courses Taught: Ethics and Professional Issues in Counseling Courses Taught As Requested: Techniques of Educational Counseling Biography: Dr. Lynn Linde is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Education and the Director of Clinical Programs in the School Counseling Program at Loyola College in Maryland. She received her B.A. in psychology from Clark University, and her Master’s in school counseling and doctorate in counseling from the George Washington University. She was previously the Chief of the Student Services and Alternative Programs Branch at the Maryland State Department of Education, the State Specialist for school counseling, a local school system counseling supervisor, a middle and high school counselor and a special education teacher. Dr. Linde is an ACA Fellow and the recipient of the ACA Counselor Educator Advocacy Award, the ACA Carl Perkins Award, the ACES Program Supervisor Award, and the SACES Program Supervisor Award as well as numerous awards from the state counseling association and from the State of Maryland for her work in counseling, student services and youth suicide prevention. She was named the 2005 PBIS Exemplar Person of the Year in Maryland. She has been active in the American Counseling Association for a number of years. She is currently the Past President of the American Counseling Association. Prior activities include President of the Maryland Association for Counseling and Development, Chair of the Southern Region of ACA, the Southern Region Representative to the Governing Council of ACA, Southern Region representative to the 20/20 Vision for the Future of Counseling initiative, member of the 20/20 Oversight Committee, Chair of the Ethics Committee, Chair of the Public Policy and Legislative Committee, and member of the Financial Affairs, Blue Ribbon, and Publications Committees. She is currently chairing the ACA Task Force on School Counseling and the Nominations and Elections Committee. She has authored or coauthored several chapters in books on ethics and legal issues in counseling. She has made over 500 presentations, particularly in the area of ethics and legal issues for counselors and public policy and legislation over the span of her career.
