Dates are inclusive. This schedule is subject to change. Students will be notified of any chages. Daily attendance is from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm (2:00 pm on Friday).

Observations and practice teaching in schools are scheduled during the year (dates subject to change). The school hours are observed. Students make their own arrangements for transportation. Please note that few schools are conveniently accessible by public transportation. Therefore, have a car or access to a car (e.g., student carpools) for observation and practice teaching is necessary.

*Oral examinations are scheduled in conjunction with AMI and other training centers. Therefore, it is not possible to publish exact dates at this time. Students will be informed as soon as dates are confirmed. All students must be in residence throughout the oral examination period, no matter when the individual examination is scheduled. Students are advised that oral examinations may be scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.

Schedule may be modified after lectures are completed but beginning and ending times will not change. Schedule modification may occur for other reasons but beginning/ending times do not change.

Except as noted in the calendar, classes are in session Monday through Friday. Timely arrival and full attendance at all scheduled lectures and supervised practice sessions are expected. There are minimum hours of attendance at lectures and supervised practice to satisfy program requirements. Attendance at open practice is not required.

*Make plane reservations for any Friday departures late enough to allow for the 2:00 pm dismissal and for travel time to the airport and security procedures (allow 45 minutes to BWI for driving and parking in addition to time for check-in and security line at the airport). The earliest time for departure so as not to miss the afternoon lecture is approximately 4 pm.

Make plan reservations for December break (classes end noon on Wednesday, December 14) well in advance so that you do not miss class.
