The Sellinger School of Business and Management hosts the Forum for Closely Held Firms, a seminar series promoting ideas and relationships designed to help small and medium-sized businesses thrive.
Closely held firms are not publicly traded and have a limited number of owners. These firms are critically important to the ongoing vitality of the Baltimore region, and their sustainability can be enhanced by networks that provide access to expertise in finance, law, accounting, marketing, banking, technology and other areas.
The Sellinger School seeks to provide a forum for the dissemination of ideas and exchange of information that will help these small businesses. The seminars typically delivered by a practitioner, occasionally supplemented by an academic expert. Each short presentation will be followed by substantial time for Q&A to maximize the value of the speakers.
Seminars begin at 7:30 a.m. with networking and breakfast followed by the presentation at 8 a.m. and the Q&A period. They will take place at Loyola’s Timonium Graduate Center. Attendees can register online or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
