Residency

Residency

The Residency is your first course in the Executive MBA Program. In addition to the academic activities during this 4-day period, your class will break into assigned teams and participate in group assignments (e.g., Case Studies). The Residency will include some initial lectures for your Accounting course, as well as, classes on Reflection, Strategy, and more. The typical Residency work day extends from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m (Lectures and Evening Events). Overnight attendance is required and lodging is provided (courtesy of Loyola) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

While the Residency will be a busy few days of rigorous academic learning, we will have some social events as well.

At the conclusion of Residency, there will be a family style picnic to which your spouse/significant other and/or children are invited. During the picnic, you will also have the opportunity to meet your colleagues from our other current Executive MBA cohorts, Professional’s MBA , MSF, and Emerging Leaders MBA programs

Dress and What to Pack

Dress for Residency is business casual. For evening events you will want to pack casual clothing, as well as, business casual attire for the Welcome to Loyola Dinner. In addition to clothes for the Residency, you may want to pack attire for the pool and fitness center at the Crowne Plaza, if interested.
