GMAT Review Course

What is the GMAT?

The GMAT is a computer-adaptive exam that is designed to help graduate schools of business assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. The test consists of four separately timed sections: two 30-minute writing sections and two 75-minute multiple choice sections and is designed to measure general verbal, mathematical, integrative analysis skills, and analytical writing skills.

Where do I take the GMAT?

The GMAT test is owned by The Graduate Admission Council (GMAC) and is offered at Pearson VUE testing centers. There are several test centers in the greater Baltimore –Washington metropolitan area including Baltimore, Columbia, Bethesda, and several in D.C. The Baltimore test center is located just off the Beltway (695) north of I-70. The Columbia test center is located on Broken Land Parkway. The tests are offered six days a week and the cost is $250.

For more information on testing locations and availability, as well as to schedule the test, please visit the GMAT website

Loyola's GMAT Review Course

We want you to have every chance to succeed in this important admissions component and therefore strongly recommend preparing for the GMAT test. There is a wide-range of resources available online or in your local bookstore to help you study, but many prospective test takers find the structure of a tutorial class particularly beneficial. For your convenience, we offer a GMAT Review course here at Loyola. This course prepares the student for each section of the test. Students will be using online instructional materials during the class, also to be used for home study. Students must have a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to access the site. Students will also receive one-year free access to the comprehensive Magoosh online GMAT prep program supplementing the class experience, which features over 150 video lessons and 700 online practice questions and video explanations to help conquer the GMAT. It is recommended that students wait until they have completed at least two weeks of the course before they schedule a day to take the GMAT.
