Program Schedule

The summer 2017 schedule is scheduled for July 31-August 18. Students should plan to arrive for the opening reception and orientation (housing, technology and program overview) on the Sunday prior classes beginning. The location of the reception and other details will be provided in the admission materials after students pay the required deposit.

Classes will take place in Sellinger Hall on the main campus quad and are scheduled to take place Monday through Friday with co-curricular activities interspersed. Most evenings will be free for students to have dinner on their own.

Free / Co-Curricular Activities

Special Events & Co-Curricular Activities

The weekly coursework will be supplemented with practitioner perspectives that include visits to for-profit companies as well as non-profit organizations.  Guest speakers will also be invited to campus to highlight organizational approaches to the business functions being studied and also as a means to provide networking opportunities for students with current business professionals. Personal development seminars will also be an integral part of the program with the goal of developing students' skills in marketing themselves for internships and/or full-time employment as well as enhancing teamwork skills, communication skills and the development and delivery of presentations. 

Costs and Inclusions

The Loyola Business Institute is an “all inclusive” program and offers outstanding value for students with a major in the liberal arts, sciences or social sciences. The cost of the 3-week program for 2017 is $5,400. The program cost includes:
  • Tuition for two 3-credit courses
  • All books and materials for the program
  • Two meals and snacks on teaching days
  • Transportation to/from off-campus components of the program
  • Use of Loyola’s Fitness and Aquatics Center
Housing is available in one of Loyola’s premier residence halls for the 3-week program. The cost of the program with housing included for 2017 is $6,100.

Visiting students from other four-year colleges are welcome!  We will happily assist you with the visiting student process.
