  • A 21-month EMBA cohort program
  • Offered every other weekend, all day Friday and Saturday
  • Designed for skilled, seasoned professionals who have already achieved significant success in their careers and are considering an executive education
  • Program start: September 2012—now accepting applications on a rolling basis; priority deadline is August 31.

About the Program

Executives are selected for the EMBA program based on the quality of their background and the depth and diversity of their experience. This cohort format offers students the unique opportunity to connect with other leaders from a wide range of professional fields.

The collaborative learning environment deepens their perspective and expands on their experience as they complete the program together. These executives seek to advance their knowledge and expand their leadership talents—and their organization—to the next level.

The curriculum is focused around the themes of ethics, corporate social responsibility, reflection as a way of thinking, and analysis to improve decision-making and mange risk.  It is delivered with a blend of in-person and some distance learning for flexibility and convenience.

Most prospective Executive MBA students have already experienced great success in their career—but business is always changing, and continuous learning and a global perspective is essential to developing strategic management competencies that will help leaders realize their professional goals in a challenging, complex, and competitive marketplace.

Students in Loyola's Executive MBA program work closely with Academic Director Gloria Phillips-Wren, Ph.D., assistant professor and chair of information systems and operations management.  As a '98 graduate of Loyola’s MBA Fellows program who worked as a civilian engineer with the Army prior to her MBA, Wren understands the needs of our Executive students in a very personal way. In addition to her management experience, Wren brings her research expertise in decision-making to the role.

We recently caught up with Wren who lists the top five value-adds in the Executive MBA program that will help continue your growth as an engaged, effective, and responsible business leader. Read the full story.
