Curriculum
The Executive MBA program is offered in a cohort format with a lockstep curriculum. The program spans two years, offered every other weekend on Fridays & Saturdays during the University term, September-May, with summers off. Classes are held from 8 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. (From format page)
The integrated, lock-step curriculum is sequential and includes core and advanced courses. The curriculum is focused around the themes of transformation, innovation, and integration to give students, whatever their leadership ambitions, a broad understanding of all business functions. In addition, through a multi-faceted learning approach that complements in-class lectures and case study discussion, our goal is to develop intellectually nimble, strategic leaders who are capable of transforming their organizations.
In addition to high-profile guest speakers such as Harry Markopolos and corporate site visits to places including Walt Disney World in Florida or Wall Street, you’ll also gain true global business experience and perspective as you and your classmates embark on a nine-day international field study to an emerging market in Asia, South America, or Europe. You’ll benefit from executive coaching, team-based cohort learning, and consulting practicum with the government, businesses, or non-profits. Furthermore, while learning practical skills such as time management at an executive level or how to facilitate meetings or deliver polished presentations, our unique, Jesuit values-centered approach to business emphasizes reflection, discernment, and a commitment to responsible leadership.
As a result, you’ll leave here as a finely tuned, ethical leader with an elevated level of strategic thinking. You’ll leave here with a strong, newly formed network of influential professionals with whom you will stay connected long after graduation. And you’ll leave here as a more self-aware and fully formed individual, well-positioned and equipped to drive both you and your organization toward greater success.
