
The Department of Finance in the Sellinger School of Management is delighted to announce year two of The Sellinger Applied Portfolio Fund [SAP], a two-course sequence GB828 & GB 829. The SAP Fund is a portion of Loyola’s endowment to be managed, for academic credit, by MSF students and MBA Finance concentrators. The inaugural academic year was 2006-2007. The students who have experienced SAP this year are highly dedicated and have done an outstanding job. Based on feed back from students the SAP courses are now three credits instead of two credits. We are currently soliciting applicants for this opportunity during the 2008 calendar year. We are seeking students who :
are highly motivated and interested in learning in a hands-on environment who are willing to work hard and in a team to achieve a common goal have high ethical standards have an interest, aptitude or experience in investments and portfolio management are able to commit one year to the management of the fund with possible service commitments to act as an advisor for classes that follow
Participants will be required to register for Spring (GB828) and Fall (GB829) semesters (each course is a three credit hours), with a full one-year commitment required for participation. The prerequisite for this opportunity is GB722 Investments Management and department approval.
