Sellinger dean to lead plenary session at AACSB Continuous Improvement Conference

Karyl Leggio, Ph.D., dean of Loyola's Sellinger School of Business and Management, will facilitate a plenary workshop at the Continuous Improvement Conference hosted by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The conference, to be held in Baltimore Sept. 30-Oct. 2, is one of 10 international conferences AACSB is scheduled to host during the 2009-2010 academic year for its accredited institutional and educational members.
The Continuous Improvement Conference includes a series of networking opportunities, breakout sessions and plenary workshops focusing on accreditation, strategic planning, and issues shaping the corporate world and the realm of management education. Leggio is scheduled to facilitate a session on "Responding to the Continuing Global Economic Impact on Business Schools," a continuation of a dialogue that began at last year's AACSB Deans Conference. Leggio has been very involved in current and past AACSB initiatives. In addition to currently serving as a member on a peer review team for re-accreditation, she served on the steering committee for the AACSB Associate Deans Conference, developed the AACSB Associate Deans Affinity Group, and served on the steering committee for the Women Administrators in Management Education affinity group.
AACSB is an association of educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations devoted to the advancement of higher education in management and the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools and accounting programs worldwide. The Sellinger School of Business and Management is one of fewer than five percent of the world's business schools who have achieved the distinction of AACSB accreditation.
