As a part of Outside In, a speaker series hosted by the Sellinger School of Business and Management, the University will welcome Marlene Trestman, EMBA ’09, special assistant to the Maryland attorney general, on Monday, March 14, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Andrew White Student Center’s 4th Floor Program Room on Loyola’s North Charles Street campus. Trestman, who is responsible for enforcing consumer protection laws related to tobacco and alcohol marketing and internet safety, will discuss “The Role of Law in Safeguarding Consumers.” The event is free and open to the public.
Outside In is an initiative started by Karyl B. Leggio, Ph.D., dean of the Sellinger School, in 2009 to connect members of the business community with undergraduate and graduate students. As a result of Outside In and other programs, more than 100 alumni and business executives came to campus to speak in classes, conduct practice interviews, and interact with students in the past year alone.
