Assistant Professor Dan Rice, in Loyola’s department of Information Systems and Operations Management, is reaching out to local business leaders for ideas, testimonials, and possible participation in the 5th Annual Conference on Information Technology and Management to be held July 16-18 in Hyderabad, India. Rice is chairing a panel on IT Outsourcing/Offshoring for this prestigious international conference and is interested in connecting with local businesses that are currently engaged in or considering these activities. At present, panel participants include a faculty member from the Indian School of Business and a senior manager from Intel India. Rice is currently meeting with business leaders in the Greater Baltimore area to gain a broader understanding of the outsourcing and offshoring activities happening locally and to identify additional panel speakers. The panel is a part of the 5th Annual Conference on Information Technology and Management, which has accepted over 120 papers and is expected between 300-400 IT leaders from around the globe. The conference aims to bring together academics and practitioners to further knowledge and ensure a balance between relevance and rigor. The Information Institute has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry and Osmania University to be the local host for this year’s conference in Hyderabad, India.
