MBA Fellows, Class of 2004 Employer: NIAID - National Institute of Health Spotlight Most people would assume that anyone who had quickly risen though the ranks at two major U.S. global pharmaceutical companies in Colombia, South America during a time of extreme socio-political turmoil would feel more than comfortable in the business world of the United States. But as confident and capable as Olga Treadwell was when she arrived here in 1999, she felt she needed an MBA that would help her understand our more ethnically and culturally diverse business environment and give her career credibility in her new country. She found what she needed at Loyola. “Loyola is a pioneer in offering an international field study program where the students are exposed to different cultures, business environments and customs. And the course work has given me the skills I need to develop my career beyond the traditional medical research field.” Thanks to Loyola, Olga knows she’ll feel right at home no matter where in the world her career takes her. Ms. Treadwell is a Manager Import Coordinator at NIAID - National Institutes of Health.
