What was the most important thing you learned while attending Loyola?
The most important thing he learned was that education is empowering and fun. During his undergraduate experience he often went through the motions and did not have the life experiences to draw from. Throughout the MBA process, he was driven to communicate his understanding through his personal experiences. He also learned that many other students, who were in completely different careers, had very similar challenges and was able to gain confidence in his abilities. At Loyola, he was able to benefit from others as well as share knowledge.

What advice would you give to current or prospective students?
To prospective students, gain some industry experience and "jump in" to the most rewarding opportunity you will find. Relish the relationships you will create with the staff and instructors during your education and well after in the business community. Find a coach or champion that has been through the MBA process and can be a sounding board and motivator when needed. I have many that I am forever grateful to.

To current students, challenge yourself to network more with many other students you have not met - to gain invaluable friendships that will boost your knowledge in areas that are not your strengths. Look for unique educational experiences such as studying abroad which will be a once in a lifetime experience to grow personally as well as professionally. Be sure to draw from current real life experiences during your studies, case studies are often focused and directed in school however in the "real world" multiple factors effect your ability to influence others who have to spend actual resources against your strategies.

How has your graduate degree advanced your career or personal goals?
Loyola College has from the very beginning to the end challenged me to grow. Because of my educational experience at Loyola, I have been promoted and given opportunities and responsibilities early in my career. I have full confidence in my abilities to tackle any opportunity; I know how to find the answers to any challenge and be a contributing member to my team at work, at home or in my community.
