General Information Sessions
Join us for an information session designed to introduce prospective applicants to Loyola's graduate programs in education, including Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, Literacy, School Counseling, and Special Education. State-approved and nationally-accredited, Loyola's education programs offer you an outstanding level of professional instruction. A Loyola degree will equip you with the theory and knowledge in your field and prepare you for the day-to-day challenges that today's educators face.
*Note: General information sessions do not cover information about Montessori or Kodály Music Education. Scroll further down the page to learn more about information sessions specific to those programs.

Our information sessions will provide you an opportunity to meet our faculty and staff. During our information session, you'll discover graduate programs to assist you with career opportunities, learn about financial assistance, and also meet other prospective students who are the same place in their lives—and considering taking the next step toward meeting their professional goals.
Program-Specific Information Sessions: MAT/Special Education, Montessori, Kodály
In addition to the general information sessions, Loyola's School of Education sponsors these program-specific sessions:
Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
Are you interested in teacher education ? Attend our information session and learn more about career options in education! Whether you are a recent college graduate, a professional interested in changing careers, a non-certified teacher, or current undergraduate student, Loyola has a program for you. All sessions will cover information on admission strategies and tips on financing your graduate education.
MAT specific sessions are offered in addition to the general information sessions. Both types of sessions (general and program-specific) cover the same information.
On- Campus Sessions
Immerse yourself in the world of Montessori Education by spending an afternoon with us at the oldest AMI training Center in North America. This session will include an informal presentation on information pertaining to the history of Montessori Education, overview of the primary and elementary programs, program requirements, education core courses, and admission requirements. At the conclusion of the program, applicants are invited to tour our practice environments and meet AMI directors and students.
Kodály Music Education
Experience first hand the engaging, exciting world of Kodály Music Education by joining program director, Amy Branum Huggins; American Kodály Institute faculty members; and world class guest presenters for a free day of music making, food, networking, and fabulous teaching ideas. In addition to participating in workshop sessions, our guests will have the opportunity to learn more about Loyola's innovative, flexible summer master's degree program in Kodály Music Education, and will go home with a wealth of kid-tested songs and teaching materials to use in their classrooms. Each Saturday Kodály workshop is unique, and music educators are invited to attend one workshop or many.
