Peabody Conservatory of Music Baltimore, Maryland Bio Amy Branum Huggins, founder and director of The American Kodály Institute, is a nationally recognized authority in the field of Kodály Music Education, a pioneer in developing practical applications of current findings in Music Learning Theory, and an innovator in the development of curricula and materials for Music Pedagogy. In demand throughout the United States as a workshop clinician and presenter at professional conferences, her teaching credits include 35 years of real-world experience teaching vocal and choral music in the public schools, 39 years teaching voice and piano in her private studio, and extensive experience teaching Music Theory, Musicianship, and Music Pedagogy in prep school, conservatory, and university settings. Her work as an educational leader, curriculum designer, consultant, author, composer, choral director, teacher trainer, and teacher has touched the lives of thousands of music teachers and students.
