About Discovery

In conjunction with Recreational Sports: Outdoor Adventure Experience (OAE), Discovery takes you on a weeklong excursion. The week includes kayaking, camping, and other adventure activities.  The Discovery program challenges sophomores to seek and discover their personal direction through experiential learning, adventure programming, and reflection.

Discovery Participation Timeline 2011-2012

ATTEND AN INTEREST SESSION! Sophomores interested in participating are strongly encouraged to attend an interest session or meet with the assistant director of sophomore initiatives before applying.

APPLY!  Applications are avaiable online and in the office of sophomore initiatives or OAE Base camp.  Applications are due Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, by 4:00 p.m. in sophomore initiatives

INTERVIEW!  An informational/interest interview is required to participate.  Individual interviews will be scheduled  between Nov. 14 - 18, 2011, and last approximately 30 minutes.

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE!  Due to limited space for this particular program, students will be notified via email of their participation status by Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011.
